Board and Train

Our Board and Train Program is designed to teach your dog basic obedience and to solve most behavior issue you are experiencing. Your dog will stay at our facility for 4 weeks and will be worked with daily. Your dog will be assigned to one of our professional dog trainers.

Your pet will receive individual training each day and will also benefit from socializing with other dogs as available. After your pet’s boarding, our trainer will teach you how to troubleshoot any challenge that may arise.  Our mission is to ensure you have a companion you can trust for life.

This program is designed for dogs that are NOT aggressive towards humans/dogs or who have high levels of fear and anxiety.  Visit our Aggression Management page to learn about available training options for these dogs.  If you prefer to have individual training in your home instead, please visit our In-Home Training page.

The program includes:

All clients’ goals and situations are unique and will be discussed in the initial consultation.  Our board and train program covers topics such as:

  • Basic obedience (sit, down, heel, stay, place command, and loose leash walking) 
  • Leash pulling 
  • Leash reactivity/leash aggression   
  • Potty training 
  • Nipping 
  • Chewing/destructive behavior 
  • Crate training 
  • Excessive whining/barking 
  • Social or separation anxiety 
  • Food aggression/resource guarding 
  • Impulse control 
  • Other unwanted behaviors 

With the Board and Train program, you can expect to receive: 

  • A minimum of 4 weeks (depending on the situation) of training with boarding at a trainer’s home or boarding facility (owner provides food, bed, toys, etc.) 
  • 3 1-hour individual training sessions in your home, immediately after boarding and again two weeks later 
  • 6-foot Latigo Leather Leash 
  • Training collar
